NOTE: The Scintillator Ladder is moved into the beam from the bottom.
NOTE: Scintillation light is guided through a transparent vacuum window (4.7 mm thick quartz glass)
to the light guide and PMT which are installed on the outer side of the vacuum chamber. (information from Karl-Heinz, 04.12.2025).
In May 2020 the PMTs (H2431) were exchanged but the old light guides remain.
