How to export historical Shared Variable data using MAX

MAX is the Measurement & Automation eXplorer which becomes installed together with the DSC-Runtime Modul, refer to MonitorSharedVariables for installation details. You find NI-MAX on your desktop or in the Windows Start-Menu > All Programs > NI MAX

Navigate to My System > Historical Data > Citadel 5 Universe. Right click to open the context menu and select New > Trace View. On the right side You can import a predefined configuration (prepared by a colleague) or you select Add/Remove. Browse to the desired historical database and select the shared Variables to view. You can also export you configuration to be used by a colleague. Use right click context menu for more configuration options.

Select the desired time span to export an choose Export to Text or Export to DIAdem. Follow the instructions in the popup-dialogs.
