DuT = Device under Test

in general: any hardware which can be tested. Typical examples in our environment: Cable sets; PCBs of all kinds (Analog and digital I/O, counters, level converters, interfaces....)Even complete electronic systems can be devices under test. For Accelerator Electronics, there is a hierarchy of interfaces and I/Os.
