External Interfaces and device

Following interface are already known.


  • Beckhoff TwinCat OPC-Server with no PLC, depricated
    • 1 item delivered
    1. Installation
      1. Install tcat_290_1030.exe, Beckhoff TwinCat System Software , attached below
      2. Install TcInfosys.exe, Beckhoff TwinCat Documentation, not attached sine it is too large. Please ask HolgerBrand.
      3. Install TcOpcSvr410.exe, Beckhoff TwinCat OPC Server , Attached below
      4. Reboot
    2. Configuration
      1. Configure your Beckhoff system with the System Manager and activate the configuration
      2. Do not forget to enable Auto Boot in the TwinCAT System Properties dialog -> System
      3. Configure the OPC server
        1. Start TwinCat OPC Configurator
        2. Select your device in the I/O Devices tree and select the Device tab and specify
          1. Name
          2. AutoCfg = 5
          3. Ads Port = Port of the task as specified in the System Manager
          4. AdsNetId =
        3. Save the configuration
      4. Test the OPC configuration with the TcOpcClient.exe. Do not forget to Login
  • TwinCat OPC-Server with PLC

  • CAEN OPC-Server
    1. Connection Parameter Configuration:
      1. Start CS and select Tools >> DSC Module >> Configure Tags... from the menu
      2. Select a FOPI tag and double-click
      3. Under Connection push edit to manipulate the servers update deadband and rate (changing these settings for one tag affects all other tags connected to OPC server);current configuration look under FopiDataLoggingSupervisoryControlModule
      4. Select Servers >> Server Explorer in the Tag Configuration Editor to monitor all OPC items by directling connecting to the running OPC Server (most easiest way is to use the Wizard --> right-click on CAEN.HVOPCServer)
  • ESONE - mbs
    • connect to the specific terminal
    • Cave
      • go to directory "esone_x86-21"
      • type "mbs"
      • type "@startup"
    • Counting House
      • go to directory "mbs/esone" (or "mbs/esone/gtbp.. ?? )
      • type "mbs"
      • type "@start" (or "@start-esone" ?? )
    • send some CNAFŽs to test the connection:
      • type "ca cn 1 2 0 0"
      • Format of the numbers is: Crate, Slot, Address, Command
      • Command 0 = Read in the most regular Term
      • The device-answer should be Q=1 (operation ok), X=1 (module ok)
