ROOT based applications at GSI

Please follow these links to learn more about several ROOT related applications at GSI:

The parallel ROOT facility PROOF at GSI

PROOF (Parallel ROOT Facility) is an extension of ROOT which allows a transparent and fast analysis of large sets of ROOT files (ROOT trees).

The FairRoot Simulation and analysis framework

The FairRoot framework is fully based on the ROOT system. The user can create simulated data and/or perform analysis with the same framework. Moreover, Geant3 and Geant4 transport engines are supported.

The Go4 analysis and online monitoring framework

The Go4 (GSI Object Oriented On-line Off-line system) framework is based on ROOT with the specific requirements of the low and medium energy nuclear and atomic physics experiments implemented as extensions.
