The preamplifier consists of four Kepler telescopes which are used for relay imaging in order to keep wavefront errors within reasonable limits as well as a stepwise beam magnifcation from about 7.6 mm at the input towards up to 60 mm the the exit. In addition, the first two telescopes use pinholes for spatial filtering of the nearfield. The input lenses are directly attached to CF vacuum flanges under a tilt angle. These have been modified according to an Inventor drawing. The vacuum tubes have symmetric lengths. The tube output is formed by a (wedged) window also attached with a tilt angle. The exit lens is separately hold in a normal lens mount.
