If the Macro Pulse have been lost...

If the macro pulse signal is lost, e.g. if the control room decided to take it away, both the Beam Control and Beam Monitor programs will stop working. When this happens you will get a big error message on the screen which might not make much sense. Just close it and follow the instructions below:

For the Beam Control program you should then stop the analysis of the macro pulses and beam integral counting by turning of the "Log Data" switch (You find it in the "Logging" tab at the lower half of the window.) When you get the macro pulse back, you then must start the data logging again by turning the switch back on.

For the Beam Monitor program reset the chopper and it should be ok (if not, restart it).
