(my personal) Documentation and Overview of HADES slow control system

Coordination

Hardware

HadCon based systems

HadCon2 based systems

    HadCon2 & Dreamplug based systems

Software

EPICS

IOCs

Automatic startup routines at reboot

    soft IOCs and special applications
      lxg0434 and hadesdaq02

The cron feature @reboot and procServ , a Process Server with Telnet Console and Log Access , are used to (re)start at reboot:
      • EPICS IOCs
        • lxg0434 (done)
        • hadesdaq (done)
      • Channel Archiver Engine
        • lxg0434 (TODO)
        • hadesdaq (TODO)
      • Channel Archiver Data Server
        • lxg0434 (TODO)
        • hadesdaq (TODO)

... more see this HOWTO: setup HADES IOC to start at reboot

    Front-end IOCs

      hadcon

Also here procServ , a Process Server with Telnet Console and Log Access , in combination with the startup script /home/hadaq/rc which is called at startup and the definition of hostname is used to (re)start at reboot.

... more see this HOWTO: setup HADES IOC to start at reboot

      TRB

Up to now just rough plans, also based on procServ , a Process Server with Telnet Console and Log Access ,
        • at startup first the FPGA has to be programmed
        • the TRB has to have its address specified
        • and just then based on procServ an IOC can be started loading the correct address specific EPICS startup script

... more see this HOWTO: setup HADES IOC to start at reboot
